Betsy @San Onofre : Ariel, my friend Keli told me about seeing a 'GREAT WHITE' while her and a friend were out at San O about a month back or so. I didn't REALLY beleive her truth be told, BUT holy cow then that u-tube /news video tape of a surfer who went BACK in the h2o to see if he could film the G.W. he saw out surfing AND HE GOT 2 of them on video!! Have you seen it??OMG! CRAZY!

The love&passion of the ocean,beach&surf was instilled within me while growing up on teh beaches of So.Ca.! Although attempts at surfing were made as a young girl,female surfers were rare. Since returning to my 'roots' in mind/body/soul (per planning my HS 30th Reunion-yikes), I realized how much of an influence growing up on the beach had on my entire life. Therefore at the age of 47 I took my 1st 'real' surf lesson (Moms on Boards - thank you Killer Dana ;0) Next lesson the following yr. w/ a SCHS classmate/couple who owns 2 surfing schools on Maui(thank you Alicia & Tommy @ MWR!) In what may be the shortest surfing career EVER, my learning curve was dramatically raised by a rogue wave incodent while spectating the 2010 Mavericks Big Wave contest at Half Moon Bay,Ca. 2/13)The final prognosis of my injuries are yet to be concluded. I am focused on continuing to make my experience a positive one, not just for myself but for those who love the beach, the ocean and the surf.:0) Moce
