Richard I surfed at Malibu April st. It was big. I actually only caught one of the smaller ones on the inside towards end of my session. I paddled over a few huge bombs that were definitely bigger then 6feet I think somewhere in the 8-10ft range.

Labour Day weekend typically marks the last days of summer and an end to yuppie filled parking lots and line ups. This year, beginning early friday morning radio station began to broadcast extreme surf warnings and told swimmers to stay on the beach. Legends and locals from up and down the coast began to gather and wait for the first signs of the 22 sec swell. As the sun began to set on Friday night, the tide went dead low and Malibu beach lit up. Parking lot talk compared it to a Hawaiian winter session and as broken boards washed around in the soup, locals roared from the side lines as legends were made and their hometown hero's shot the pier once again, celebrating the end of summer.

Richard it was choppy and not breaking well. I have yet to be at malibu when its been any good.
