General information
Technically classified as part of Huntington Beach (North End), site offers camping, fire pits on the beach. Snack bars and rentals in the summer, as well as areas that can be reserved for parties. From Lifeguard main tower to South End of beach is never black-balled in the summer and is open to surfing. Doesn't stop the swimmers and soft boarders from going to the south end though. Typical surf is in the (face)2' to 5' range.
Access
State Beach, $15.00 entrance, or yearly parking pass with parking up and down the beach. Not street parking available nearby.

Crowd
Very crowded during summer. Minimal crowds in the winter. Locals are very mellow and being a rather large
beach locals tend to go to the same lifeguard towers to surf. Age range is young to old, boards long, short, mini-mal, SUP, and occasional Kayaks. Everyone is pretty nice though.
Hazards
Stingrays (not too bad though). Crowd (Summer), Potential strong currents South to North and North to South. Heavy open Beach Break waves during larger overhead swells.
