General information
Puerto Viejo is a fun left point break. Waves break next to a big rock formation and runs over a shallow sand bottom. Providing friendly and fast sections this is a cool hotdogging wave. Surf ranges from 3 to 8 ft.
Access
From the Panamericana Sur make a right turn in the Puerto Viejo sign and take the dirt road all the way to the southern tip of the beach. Park ypur car in the sand and walk your way at the inside. Paddle out is a piece of cake. Take notice of the icredible marine fauna. Birdwatching is a must. Don´t be surprised f a bunch of grey dolphins show up to share a late session. Colorful sunsets are the norm.

Crowd
Gets crowded when good but plenty of waves due to non stop sets and long rides. You get a good one and it will take you far away so you might walk to the point. This feature lightens up even the most crowded days.
